Julia Ferré, CHT is a Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist and an integrative facilitator in helping to enable consciousness. Her work includes personal one-on-one sessions, group sessions, workshops, and writing for a worldwide audience.

Julia began her personal transformation, healing from allergies and addictions through a change in lifestyle in 1980. She adopted a whole-food plant-based diet and a macrobiotic lifestyle, which includes the study of Eastern philosophy. Julia studied and apprenticed with Herman and Cornellia Aihara, direct students of George Ohsawa, the modern-day originator of macrobiotics. Julia wrote her first book, Basic Macrobiotic Cooking, in 1987. The 20th anniversary edition was published in 2007.

Julia and husband, Carl Ferré, manage the George Ohsawa Macrobiotic Foundation, and write for and publish Macrobiotics Today magazine. From 1971 to 2016, the Foundation sponsored an annual summer gathering—the French Meadows Summer Camp—for which Julia wrote her second book, French Meadows Cookbook, published in 2008.

In 1996, Julia's father, a Lutheran minister, passed away, which instigated profound personal and spiritual growth. Following a car accident in 2005, Julia received her first Reiki treatment which was both physically and spiritually healing. In 2007, she received her Reiki 1 and 2 attunements, and in 2010, her Reiki 3 Master attunements. Also in 2010, Julia studied hypnosis instruction and graduated from the Sylvia Browne Hypnosis Training Center.

In August 2012, Julia graduated from the Hypnotherapy Training Institute and attained certification from the American Council of Hypnotist Examiners (ACHE). In October 2014, Julia received further training as a Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist with a specialty in regression. During 2014, Julia also trained as a Certified HypnoBirthing® practitioner.

Julia's formal academic education began at the University of Wisconsin in Madison in 1978. In 2015, she returned to the California State University at Chico and graduated in 2017 with a BA in Psychology. Currently, she is studying for her Masters degree in Counseling with estimated graduation date in 2020.

In 2013, she traveled to India to reconnect with her roots and study spirituality.

Julia's third and fourth books, Food and Intuition 101 Volume 1: Awakening Intuition and Food and Intuition 101: Developing Intuition are a 2-volume set about the relationship a person has with food. These books are a self-help course divided into 101 lessons that sequentially teach you how to become aware of and develop your intuitive and spiritual relationship to food. Intuition, or inner awareness, can  help a person choose healthy and appropriate food. Simultaneously healthy appropriate food strengthens intuitive ability.

"Intuition is a natural ability present in all humans. It helps a person live life rich in experience and meaning. Intuition impacts relationships, growth, and satisfaction. My desire in this book is to show you, through regular daily practice, that intuition is a living force within you, not only helping you choose appropriate food but in developing your full potential as a human being."
